About Prophetic

Real estate development is a multi-billion-dollar industry that has run on fragmented data, manual processes, and gut instinct for decades. Prophetic is changing that. We're building the AI-native platform that enables homebuilders, developers, and investors to find, analyze, and act on land opportunities from a single system — powered by proprietary technologies that process billions of data points across all 50 states. We are the market leader in our space, and our customers don't just use the product — they love it. We're not making teams more efficient. We're changing how they operate.

Prophetic is scaling fast — demand is outpacing our ability to hire, and we're just getting started. This is a once-in-a-lifetime team: sharp, low ego, deeply collaborative, and obsessed with building the best product in the industry. Come disrupt an industry with us.

About the Role

Prophetic is building the most powerful platform in land acquisition — and our customers need to understand every capability we ship. You'll own the language layer of our product: defining how features are explained, building and maintaining our knowledge base, and shaping the onboarding and education content that turns new users into power users.

This is not a marketing copywriting role. You'll work at the intersection of product, customer experience, and engineering — translating complex geospatial and AI-powered functionality into clear, useful content. From in-app training flows to help center articles to release communications, you'll make sure our customers always know what Prophetic can do for them and how to do it.

You'll report to our Head of Product, working alongside Account Management and Engineering in a company that ships new features every two to three weeks.

What You'll Do

• Define and build content for our in-product training experience — shaping the guided onboarding that walks new users through a complex, data-rich platform.

• Build and maintain the customer-facing knowledge base — help center articles, walkthroughs, and FAQs that keep pace with a product shipping new features every two to three weeks.

• Scope, draft, and communicate the language around new product functionality as it goes live — from feature naming to release notes to in-app guidance.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Account Management to understand what's shipping and translate it into content customers can act on.

• Develop and refine the voice, terminology, and content standards used across all customer-facing product communication.

• Train and optimize our AI-powered support tooling with accurate, up-to-date content so customers get fast, reliable answers.

• Identify content gaps by analyzing support ticket patterns, customer questions, and onboarding friction points.

• Create short guides, walkthroughs, and video scripts based on common support patterns and new feature releases.

• Use AI tooling daily for content creation, research, and workflow automation.

What You Need

• 2–5 years in content strategy, technical writing, product education, or a related role at a software company.

• Strong ability to explain complex, technical product functionality in plain language.

• Experience building and maintaining knowledge bases, help centers, or documentation systems.

• Sharp editorial instincts — you care about clarity, consistency, and getting the details right.

• Comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

• Proactive mindset — you notice when something is unclear or missing and fix it before anyone asks.

• Strong written communication and an eye for structure — you know how to organize information so people actually find and use it.

• Comfort with AI tooling as part of your daily workflow.

• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and manages multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Intercom, Zendesk, or similar customer communication platforms.

• Familiarity with GIS, mapping tools, or real estate technology.

• Experience at an early-stage startup (Seed to Series B).

• Background in SaaS product education, onboarding, or customer enablement.

• Experience training or managing AI chatbots and automated support content.

Why Prophetic

  • Real ownership and impact from day one. Our customers make million-dollar decisions on our platform. Your work matters immediately.

  • Founder-led transparency. Leadership shares the financials, the strategy, and the hard calls with the whole team.
  • High growth, high demand. The product works, customers love it, and we are hiring to keep up. No shortage of opportunity here.
  • Flexibility. Remote, hybrid, or in-office with a great Portland, OR headquarters.
  • Self-starters who thrive in ambiguity. We're a startup. If you need someone to tell you what to do every morning, this isn't the place; if you come alive solving hard problems with smart people, it is.

How We Work

These four themes are how we think, build, and lead.

  • Truth — Say the hard thing. We speak plainly, flag problems early, and share what's actually going on.
  • Precision — Sign your name to it. Our customers make million-dollar decisions on our data. We get the details right.
  • Velocity — Speed compounds. Waiting doesn't. We ship daily and launch features every two to three weeks.
  • Ownership — Own it, then solve it. We own outcomes, not tasks. If something's broken, we fix it.

Prophetic is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
